Abstract
Legal descriptions of medical interventions performed by physicians and other healthcare personnel are important. Physicians and other health care personnel are responsible for their actions in criminal law and indemnity law. In this article, legal descriptions and corresponding responsibilities of physicians’ and other health care personnels’ actions about patient care will be evaluated with examples. Concepts such as liability and duty of care, refusal of care by patient, patient consent for care and lack thereof, duty of care for emergency situations, prescription and documentation errors and liability of these actions will be examined.
