Abstract
Fractures of the sesamoid bones of the thumb are rare injuries. We report a case with fracture of an ulnar sesamoid bone of the metacarpophalangeal joint of the thumb. The anatomy of hand sesamoids, the mechanisms of injury, the diagnosis, and management of this rare injury are discussed.
