Abstract

Spontaneous intramural intestinal hematoma (SIIH) is a rare clinical condition which may result in lead serious complications. Anticoagulation treatment, bleeding disorders such as, hemophilia, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, malignant diseases such as leukemia and lymphoma, inflammatory diseases such as vasculitis, chemotherapy and bone marrow transplantation are the possible etiological factors. In the present article, we aimed to state a patient presented with epigastric pain for 4-5 days and diagnosed as SIIH due to warfarin toxicity. Furthermore, we discussed the diagnostic and treatment modalities of SIIH in the light of the literature.
