Abstract

This review focuses on the basic properties, usage, clinical applications, complications and evidence-based effectiveness of new therapeutics that emergency physicians need to be familiar with due to their clinical effects or complications. These therapeutics and drugs, which have been licensed in 2010 and 2011, are prothrombin complex concentrates, adenosine, flurbiprofen oral spray, Rivaroxaban, Dabigatran and C1 inhibitor concentrate Cetor®. The effectiveness of each molecule is reviewed in the light of recent evidence-based literature. It was also aimed to clarify how these therapeutics play role in the daily practice of a Turkish emergency physicians.
